Appreciation post: the $9 tire pressure gauge that finally got me to quit eyeballing my tires
For about 8 years I just kicked my tires and called it good, figuring if one looked low I could tell by the bulge. Last month my brother in law, who wrenches at a shop in Mesa, put one of those cheap stick gauges on my front left and it read 21 psi when the door sticker says 35. I had been driving on that for who knows how long and blaming rough steering on "just an old truck." Pumped all four to spec, and the truck tracks straight now and my mpg went up almost 2 mpg over the next 3 tanks. So how often do you all actually check yours, and do you trust the stick gauges or is a dial one really better?
