That $40 fuel pressure gauge from Oreilly finally earned its keep on a 2007 F150
Spent 3 hours chasing a no-start on a customer's truck in Wichita last Tuesday. Fuel pump relay was clicking fine, filter was fresh, so I grabbed the cheap gauge and deadheaded the rail. It showed 18 psi at key-on, should be 55 to 65. Turns out the pump was cavitating because the pick up sock had collapsed from all that ethanol gunk. Has anyone else had luck with those budget gauges vs the fancy electronic ones, or do you just replace pumps on gut feel?

Maybe it's just me, but three hours on a fuel pump sounds like a bad day, not a gauge problem.
