DAE hear the finance guy at a dealership call an extended warranty a 'peace of mind product' and almost laugh out loud
I was sitting in the waiting room at a Chevy dealer in Boise last Tuesday getting an oil change when the guy at the next desk told a couple their $2,800 extended warranty was really a 'peace of mind product.' Here's the funny part, his own pitch sheet on the desk said the plan only covers cars under 80,000 miles and they were already at 61,000. So basically they were buying 19,000 miles of peace. Did anyone here ever buy one of these and actually come out ahead on a claim?

Man, $2,800 for 19,000 miles of peace works out to about 15 cents a mile, and that's the only math I've ever been good at. I bought one of those once and the only thing it covered was my own bad judgment.
