I finally read my warranty's fine print at a Jiffy Lube in Boise and found out about the $75 deductible

I was sitting in a Jiffy Lube in Boise waiting on an oil change when a guy next to me started complaining about a $1,400 repair bill. He said his extended warranty refused to pay because he missed two oil change receipts. I went home and actually read my own policy for the first time in 3 years, and it turns out mine needs proof of service every 6 months or the whole thing is void. I also found a $75 deductible per visit buried on page 9, plus a rule that aftermarket parts void the coverage completely. Called my provider and they confirmed all of it, no exceptions. Does anyone keep a folder of receipts for this, and if so what do you actually save?
