Fixed weird static by finding a lunch foil piece
I had this plane with awful antenna static for days. Was ready to replace the whole unit, which would have been a pain. Then I noticed a shiny bit of foil wedged in the antenna mount. Once I pulled it out, the static was completely gone. Such a dumb fix but it saved me hours, lmao.

That foil piece was basically a high-end signal blocker you installed for free.

Sometimes a simple physical fix is the right call. Checking connections is good, but that foil was clearly the problem. Calling it dumb misses the point of a working solution.

Dumb fixes like that are why I always check connections first before replacing anything.
