Hot take: most guys in this field skip the vibration analysis on engine harnesses
I caught three separate installs last week at our shop in Phoenix where folks just tucked the harness and called it done, ignoring the clearance spec by a half inch. Has anyone else noticed this shortcut becoming more common or am I just working with a lazy crew?

That "tucked the harness and called it done" line got me. My buddy works avionics out in Tucson and he told me about a guy who did the same thing on a Cessna 172. They found out later the harness was rubbing against a sharp bracket edge after some flight vibrations. It chafed through the insulation and shorted out a critical sensor mid flight. They got lucky it wasn't worse but that lazy tuck caused a whole week of downtime and rewiring.

Blame it on the heat out here. Guys rush through it just to get back inside the AC.
