Water filter failed at 10,000 feet in the Sierras, here's what I did
My Sawyer filter gave out halfway through a 3 day loop near Bishop last month. The output slowed to a trickle and I didn't pack a backup. I ended up boiling water from a creek using my cook pot and a bandana to strain the big stuff. Took forever but worked fine. Has anyone else had a filter die mid trip without a spare? What do you carry as a plan B?
