PSA: Rubbing a bar of soap on my garage door track got rid of the squeal for a month now
I read about this trick on some old handyman forum, tried it on a whim before a dinner party so the door wouldn't wake the baby, and it's been dead quiet for four weeks straight, though I'm wondering if it'll hold up once it gets cold here in Cleveland.
