Watched my neighbor in Tulsa fix a sagging gate with a $6 turnbuckle kit, and I redid both of mine the next weekend
Mine had been dragging for 8 months and I was about to buy new hinges. Has anyone tried this on a heavier cedar gate, or does the wood just win eventually?
That $6 turnbuckle kit is a band-aid that bites you later, hate to say it. On a heavy cedar gate the wood keeps moving with every wet season, so the brace just fights it and eventually the frame twists or the screws tear out. New hinges and a proper rehang cost more up front but you won't be back out there next spring doing it again.
