Audio cable spaghetti solved with cheap pool noodles

My drum mics and interface sit on opposite sides of the shed, so I had cables crossing the floor like a trap. Tripped over them twice last month during a take, almost took out the snare. I cut a 3 dollar pool noodle into six inch chunks, slit them down the side, and snapped them over the cables where they hit the ground. Now they stay put under the rug and I can move gear without unplugging everything. Anyone else rig up cheap fixes instead of buying those expensive cable ramps?
