Heard a neighbor say my studio looked like a garden shed and it actually made me think

I was out back last Saturday and overheard this guy walking his dog tell his friend my studio just looked like a nice shed with windows. At first I was annoyed but then I realized he's kind of right. I spent so long making it functional I forgot to make it actually look like a music studio from the outside. Has anyone else had to balance how their studio looks versus how it works?

Honestly I used to be all about function over form with mine too, but I had this exact same moment kind of recently. I had all this gear crammed in there and it worked great but from the street it just looked like a weird plastic box with a roof. Once you hear someone say it out loud you can't unsee it you know? So now I'm trying to find ways to make it look less like a storage unit without breaking the bank or messing up the acoustics inside. I painted the outside a dark green and added some fake vines which helped a ton actually. It's tricky though because you don't want to sacrifice the sound just to make it look cute from the sidewalk.

@river_wright that fake vine idea is smart, didn't think about going that route. Thing I keep tripping on is whether adding anything to the outside messes with the soundproofing I did. Did you have to redo any of your insulation or wall layers after you painted and added stuff? I'm thinking about doing a dark grey stain on my siding but worried it'll change how the room breathes or vibrates somehow.
