I thought the cinder block shelf idea for my 10x12 shed studio was a joke until I stacked 400 lbs on it
Everyone on here seems to push fancy wall-mounted racks and welded steel, but I went with bare cinder blocks and two 2x10 boards from the lumber yard in Fresno for about $60 total. I figured it would wobble or crack, and honestly I doubted it for the first month every time I set my interface down. Then I loaded it with my amp, a heavy toolbox, and a stack of old records, and it hasn't shifted a millimeter in eight months. Am I crazy for thinking this beats the $300 metal rack I was about to buy, or has anyone else gone cheap and stayed cheap?
