Picked a concrete slab over a wood floor for my 12x14 shed studio and I'm second guessing it
Spent two weekends going back and forth on this before pouring a 4 inch slab instead of framing a wood floor over the old gravel pad behind my garage in Boise. The slab was cheaper and I figured it'd stay solid, but now my feet ache after a 3 hour session and everything I drop sounds like a gunshot. The guy at the rental place who handed me the mixer told me "nobody ever regrets concrete" and I keep wondering if he's ever stood on one for 8 hours. Has anyone put down those rubber gym tiles over a slab, and did it actually kill the echo or just make it worse?
