Shoutout to the guy at the lumber yard in Reno who watched me measure twice and still cut wrong
Back in March I had to decide between pouring a concrete slab for my backyard studio or building it on deck blocks. I went with the slab because everyone online said it would last longer. But I didn't factor in the Reno winter, and the ground heaves like crazy here. Three months later I've got two cracks running right through the middle of my floor. Kind of wish I'd gone with the blocks and just dealt with the slight bounce. Has anyone else in a cold climate had better luck with one or the other?
