Spent three hours building a vocal booth frame only to realize the door was too narrow for me to get through

I was out in my backyard studio last Saturday afternoon and after putting the whole thing together I tried to step in for a test and my shoulders got stuck in the opening, so I had to take it all apart and add an extra six inches on each side, has anyone else ever measured twice but somehow still messed up the entrance?

Read a guy on Reddit last week who built his whole booth around a vintage mic stand and then realized the base was too wide to fit in the door opening, had to take a sledgehammer to it just to get the stand out. So at least you caught it before you were stuck inside with no way out lol. I measured my door opening like four times after that story and still added an extra foot to the frame just to be safe.

Buddy of mine did almost the same thing with a homemade vocal booth, built it around his chair and then realized he couldn't even fit the mic boom in without taking the wall off. Had to crowbar the whole corner apart just to get his setup back.
