I redrew a hospital parking sign in 20 minutes and watched 3 cars stop blocking the fire lane
The old sign said NO PARKING FIRE LANE in 12 point font at the bottom of a cluttered board with six other rules on it. People parked there all day because you couldn't read it from a moving car. I took everything off except the rule that mattered, made FIRE LANE the biggest words, and put it at eye level. Within a week the fire lane stayed clear and a nurse stopped me in the lot to ask who finally fixed it. What's the one sign in your building that everyone ignores because it has too much stuff on it?

My buddy works at a rec center and their pool rules sign was the same deal. Fourteen lines of tiny text, nobody read any of it. He made a new one that just said NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY and SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK in big letters. Lifeguard told him the questions from parents dropped off a cliff after that.
