That 30 dollar harbor freight caliper has outperformed my 400 dollar digital one for a year straight

Everyone in the tool forums swears you need the expensive stuff, but after 14 months of daily use in my garage in Tucson, the cheap one is still dead on while the fancy one drifts after every battery change, so are you guys actually calibrating these things or just flexing on me?

Man, tell me about it! My cheapo from Amazon has been dead nuts for two years now, and my buddy’s Snap-On drifts so bad he checks it every single morning, it’s a joke.
