That "ergonomic" mouse I bought lasted exactly 3 days before I threw it in a drawer
So I saw this mouse at Best Buy that was supposed to be the ultimate ergonomic thing, shaped like a vertical handshake or whatever. It was $50 and I figured hey my wrist has been hurting after a long day of wiring up panels so why not try it. Got it home, plugged it in, and within 2 hours my hand was cramping up worse than ever. The angle felt all wrong and the buttons were placed where my thumb had to stretch to reach them. Tried it for two more days thinking I just needed to get used to it but nope, it was pure garbage. Returned it and went back to my old $20 Logitech mouse that ain't fancy but actually works. Has anyone else fallen for one of those trendy ergonomic designs that just miss the mark completely?

You saying "the buttons were placed where my thumb had to stretch to reach them" hits the nail on the head for me. That's exactly the problem with these gimmicky designs. They think twisting your whole hand sideways is the answer, but they forget basic stuff like where your thumb actually sits. Did you happen to check if that mouse was adjustable at all before you bought it? I've noticed most of these trendy ergonomic mice are one-size-fits-all, which is insane because people's hands aren't all the same size. My buddy bought a similar one and his main complaint was the same thing, the buttons were miles away from his fingers. Seems like they spend all their money on marketing and zero on actual testing with real hands.

Exactly. The "one size fits all" thing is the biggest joke in ergonomic gear right now. They slap a weird angle on it, call it science, and ignore that your hand has natural resting positions. I tried one of those vertical mice once and my pinky was basically dragging on the desk because the thing was too wide. No adjustments, no nothing. Feels like they design them in a lab where nobody actually has to use the thing for more than five minutes.
