That moment I realized my door handle was backwards for 3 years
Rented a place in Denver, kept pushing the door when I needed to pull. Thought I was just dumb. Then my buddy visits and says the handle is mounted on the wrong side, checked 5 other apartments in the building, all same mistake. Has anyone else lived with a design flaw that long without noticing?

Wait, think about it from the builder's side for a second. Doors in rental buildings get installed by crews who do 50 units in a row, and if the blueprint says the handle goes on the left, they're not gonna question it. I lived in a place where the shower knob turned the wrong way, hot was cold for two years, and honestly I just got used to it. The real issue is that you noticed after three years, which means your brain adapted, so is it really a flaw or just a quirk you learned to live with?
