That "no left turn" sign in my town has been pointing drivers into a dead end for 3 years
I deliver mail on a route where two streets meet at a weird angle, and somebody mounted the "no left turn" sign facing the wrong way, so it actually tells you TO turn left into a dead end. I looked it up after a neighbor complained and found the same sign design got flagged in a 2019 study of 1,200 intersections for causing 40 percent more wrong turns. The city says it's fine because it meets code, which apparently means nothing about whether anyone can read it. Any of you ever seen a sign that technically passes inspection but still sends people the wrong way?
