The parking garage ramp in Columbus that made me question my whole career

Last week I was waiting in line to leave a parking garage downtown and watched three cars scrape their bumpers on this absurdly sharp ramp transition, one of them a newer SUV that was barely moving. The guy in front of me got out to check his bumper and just said 'whoever signed off on this should have to drive it every day for a year' and it hit me how much design can quietly ruin your whole afternoon. Has anyone else found a public space where the layout just makes you angry every single time you use it?

…and honestly, that guy nailed it, right? Like, some engineer probably looked at the blueprints and thought "that's a solid 8% grade, we're good" without ever once thinking about what happens when someone's bumper is three inches off the ground. So here's my question, though: did you notice if it was a newer garage or an older one? Because I swear the newer ones are worse, they're all about squeezing in extra parking spots and zero about the actual approach angle. It's like they design these things with a computer model of a perfectly flat sedan, not the real world where people drive lifted trucks and low sports cars. And the worst part is there's never a sign, so you just find out the hard way when you hear that scrape and your whole day goes to crap.
