Update: that warning label advice finally saved me at the DMV
Last month someone on here said to actually READ the tiny print on those self-service kiosk screens before jamming your card in. I laughed and ignored it, figured it was common sense. But today in the Columbus DMV line, the screen looked like a normal payment page so I swiped fast. Turns out that faint gray box said cash only, and my card got stuck for 20 minutes before a clerk had to pop it open with a screwdriver. Has anyone else gotten burned by a kiosk that hides the one crucial rule in the corner?
