Update: the print guy in Akron checked my label file for free and caught a 2mm bleed mistake I made on 5000 units
My old design boss always said to set bleed at 3mm and eyeball it, so I did that for 11 years without checking. Last Tuesday the press operator in Akron held my file up to a light and pointed at the trim edge, the art stopped 2mm short and he would have cut into the logo on all 5000 labels. Cost me nothing to fix that morning but the reprint would have been $1,800 out of my own pocket. Anyone else here ever had a print tech catch something basic that you were sure you had handled?
