PSA: I put Impact on a memorial slide for my uncle and my cousin went quiet at the reception | Bad Font Choices

Made a slideshow for my uncle's service in March and picked Impact because the lettering looked bold and clean on my laptop screen. My cousin stared at the screen for a second and said it looked like a meme caption, and that hit harder than anything else that day. Now I'm stuck on where the line is, because half the people I know say plain old Arial is boring and cold, while the other half say anything with personality is disrespectful. Where do you all land when the message is serious but the font still has to carry some weight?
