Feels like this happens with everything now, not just apps. You go to do one simple thing and the thing fights you the whole way, like ordering a coffee and they ask for your phone number first.
Same energy as a self checkout yelling at you to put the item in the bagging area when you already did. Somebody made that on purpose and nobody stopped them.
