That week my sourdough starter turned into a monster

I keep my starter, 'Frank', in the pantry, but last week it got so active it pushed the lid off a 2-quart jar and dripped down the shelf. I had to feed it twice a day just to keep up. Has anyone else had a starter go wild like that in warmer weather?

My starter, Betty, did that exact thing on my kitchen counter last summer.

Ugh, the worst. I keep mine in a big glass bowl now, gives it room to grow without making a mess.
