Honestly, my sourdough starter disaster last Tuesday was a blessing in disguise
Ngl, I thought my starter was dead after I forgot to feed it for 3 days, but I dumped in some whole wheat flour and water anyway, and it somehow came back stronger than ever. Has anyone else had a total fail turn into a win like that?

Honestly I used to be one of those people who thought if your starter went even a day past feeding it was basically compost material. But then I had a similar thing happen where I left mine in the back of the fridge for like two weeks during a move, came back to this weird grey liquid on top and the whole thing smelled like acetone. I almost threw it out but figured why not try, fed it a few times and it bounced back with this amazing fruity tang. Totally changed my view on how resilient these things actually are.
