My sourdough starter went from flat to fantastic in just two days
I've had this starter for about a year, and it was always kinda weak (barely doubled in size). Two days ago, I switched from tap water to filtered water and moved it to the top of my fridge where it's a bit warmer. Now it's tripling in size and has way more bubbles. Has anyone else fixed a lazy starter by changing something simple like that?

My old starter was a total couch potato for months. I switched from all-purpose flour to a cheap store-brand bread flour (the kind in the blue bag) and it was like a different creature by the next feeding. The protein boost made all the difference for me. I still use tap water, but the flour change was the simple fix mine needed.

Switched mine to rye once and it tried to climb out of the jar.
