Warning: dropped $340 on a clipper repair course that taught me less than a $12 YouTube video
I signed up for that Advanced Clipper Repair course at the Chicago trade show back in March, mostly because the guy at the booth made it sound like my Andis would run forever if I just knew the tricks. Three hundred forty bucks later, I sat through six hours of videos that basically showed me how to unscrew the blade, brush it out, and oil it, which I already do every night. The part that killed me is he never even covered how to swap the armature or deal with a bent hinge, you know, the stuff that actually makes you send a clipper in. I could have bought a backup Magic Clip and a spare blade set for that money. Did anyone here actually take a repair class that was worth it, or is it all just overpriced basics?
