Hit 27 seasons of background TV and realized I was doing it wrong

I finally counted my watchlist and saw 27 seasons of shows I only had on as noise while I cleaned or cooked. Turns out I was binging the concept of TV, not the actual stories, and I missed half the plot in three of my top rated series. Anyone else realize they've been 'watching' shows they can barely summarize?

Man I did the exact same thing with three shows, only caught like half the plot.
