Shoutout to the $60 Roku stick that got me through 3 weeks of hotel living, but I still think binge drops ruined TV
Ngl I used to plan my whole weekend around a new season dropping all at once, but after burning through a 10 episode show in two nights in a Denver hotel room, I felt empty. Honestly that $60 Roku stick was the best money I spent on that work trip, way better than the $14 hotel movie rentals. But here is my hot take, and I know people will fight me on it: the all-at-once drop kills the fun of talking about a show week to week. Half the joy of watching something was texting my sister after each episode instead of both of us finishing by Sunday and having nothing left to say. Does anyone actually miss the weekly release schedule or am I just old now?
