Spent $40 on a show my friend swore was good, now I need something to wash it out of my brain.

My buddy kept telling me to watch this new sci-fi series, said it was the next big thing. I bought the whole first season for about forty bucks on a streaming platform. Got through three episodes and it was just people talking in dark rooms about a mystery that never got interesting. Felt like a total waste of a Saturday. Anyone have a solid, fast-paced show to recommend as a palate cleanser?

Been there, wasted money on bad shows too.

Remember the real cost is the time you can't get back. A bad show wastes an evening you could have spent doing anything else, even just relaxing at home. That feeling of being trapped in your seat while something awful happens on stage is the worst part. It makes you way more careful about how you spend your free nights, not just your money.

Ugh, @patricia_morgan, what was the worst one for you? Last year I sat through a play where the actors kept forgetting their lines... it was so awkward we just left at intermission. Felt like burning cash right there in the seat. Makes you really check reviews twice now.
