That 72 hour marathon in Denver made me question if subtitles are the real enemy
We did a full series run of a dubbed foreign show and half the group swore the voice acting ruined it while the other half said reading subtitles pulled them out of the story, so which side are you on when a show's worth bingeing but the audio doesn't match the lips?

honestly subtitles all the way for me. my buddy forced us to watch a dubbed anime once and i couldn't stop laughing at the lip flaps, totally killed the mood. once you get used to reading you forget it's even there.
