Unpopular opinion: stop quenching 1084 in motor oil, it's gumming up your whole heat treat
Did a side by side on six blades with canola at 130F versus used 10w30 and the oil quench left gummy black crud in my Parks 50 that took an hour of scraping to clean out, so what are you all actually using that does not turn into tar?
