My friend spilled soda on our Gloomhaven map during a 6 hour session
We were playing at my place in Denver last weekend, and someone knocked over a full can right onto the scenario book. Honestly, we just froze for a second staring at the sticky mess. We carefully blotted it with paper towels and used a hair dryer on low to try and save the pages. Has anyone else had a major game disaster mid-campaign and managed to fix it?

Oh man, that "sticky mess" line got me. I used to think game stuff was just stuff, you know? But after my group's dog chewed up a character sheet we'd been leveling for months, it hit different. We all felt that loss. Now I get why you all just froze. It's not just paper, it's the story you're building together. Did the hair dryer trick work out okay for the book?

Wait, the cat puked on the actual board? I can't get over that. Like, the tiles are cardboard, right? A damp cloth on soggy cardboard sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Did the colors run or did the tiles get all warped? That's a whole different level of game night crisis.

Watched my buddy's cat puke right on his Catan board during a heated game. It was this gross hairball mess all over the wheat fields. We had to carefully wipe each hex tile with a damp cloth and it totally killed the vibe for like twenty minutes.
