My neighbor's garage sale sign turned out great with the right fonts

I offered to make a sign for my neighbor's garage sale last weekend. She needed something bright and clear to grab attention. I messed around with a few fonts that were too busy or hard to read. Then I put a thick, simple sans serif for the big words and a clean script for the smaller info. It looked balanced and friendly from a distance. She was so happy with how it came out. It's a small thing, but getting that combo right felt really satisfying.

I finally stopped fighting with grid-auto-flow

I used to set it to row every time without thinking. Letting it default to column in some cases actually fixed my overlapping items.

Am I the only one who finds blending gray hair to be a total nightmare?

Totally agree. Saw a rushed fade on a guy at the gym and it looked like a weird helmet after a few days. Taking those extra minutes to blend it right makes all the difference.

My friend spilled soda on our Gloomhaven map during a 6 hour session

Watched my buddy's cat puke right on his Catan board during a heated game. It was this gross hairball mess all over the wheat fields. We had to carefully wipe each hex tile with a damp cloth and it totally killed the vibe for like twenty minutes.

I thought my slide design was clear until the Q&A turned into a guessing game.

My last presentation had a 10 second rule for each slide. If someone couldn't get the main point that fast, I reworked it. Checking contrast is smart, but simplifying the message matters more. I spend more time cutting words than picking colors.
