I finally welded 30 tube stubs in one shift and my hood fogged up from me grinning
Last Thursday at the plant in Gary I knocked out 30 tube stubs in a single 12 hour shift, which beat my old record of 19 by a mile. About stub 25 my lens fogged so bad I had to stop and wipe it, and the helper asked if I was crying, I told him it was sweat but we both knew. What is your best single shift number and did anybody catch you smiling like an idiot when you hit it?

30 stubs in a 12 is nuts man, my best ever was 22 and I was dragging by the end of it. The fogged lens thing gets me every time too, it's always right when you're in a groove and don't wanna stop. My foreman caught me grinning behind my hood after I beat my old number and gave me crap about it for a week. That feeling when the beads are just laying in perfect is worth the sore neck.
