Tell me exactly what the procedure was that got skipped. Was it a pre-heat issue, wrong rod, or just rushing it? @janahenderson's buddy has it right, a second set of eyes isn't optional for that kind of work. One missed step and you're not just looking at a redo, you're looking at a catastrophic failure down the line. This is why checklists exist.

Missing the big choices is exactly why the small ones matter. A lunch order can show a character's hidden stress or how they see themselves in that moment. It's all connected, so a salad can absolutely be a sign of something bigger.

Forget big animals, rodents are the main problem. Mice and rats can squeeze into tiny spaces and love chewing wires for some reason. I mean, they've taken out car engines and whole server rooms, so a utility closet is nothing.
