Spent $22 on a chest freezer for my garage and it cut my grocery bill by $60 a month
Bought a used 7 cubic foot freezer off a guy in my neighborhood for $22, mostly because I was sick of throwing out chicken that went bad in my fridge. Turns out buying meat in bulk when it's on sale and freezing it saved me around $60 a month, which paid for the freezer in under two weeks. I was pretty sure it would just become a place where old ice cream dies, but I actually use it every single week. The only downside is I keep forgetting what's buried at the bottom, so now I tape a list to the lid. Does anyone have a system for keeping track of what's in theirs?
