My desk calendar went neon orange and electric purple

I used to do all my scheduling in a plain black planner, boring but safe. Last month I switched to a neon orange and electric purple layout for deadlines and appointments, and I can spot a conflict from across the room now. The trick is using the purple only for hard due dates and orange for reminders, so it does not get muddy. It crashed at first when I mixed in a blue highlighter, so I dropped that color fast. Anyone else try color coding with wild combos and find one that just clicks?
