Our club argued over a 1987 Booker winner for 40 minutes at a diner in Tulsa
Last Thursday our book club met at a diner off Route 66 in Tulsa to talk about a 1987 Booker winner, and a retired teacher named Marge kept quiet the whole time while everyone else fought about whether the ending was lazy. She finally leaned in and asked, "Did any of you read the last page twice?" and the whole table went silent because none of us had. Do you think a question like that settles a dispute, or just makes everybody feel like they missed something?
