Our club spent 40 minutes arguing about the ending of The Push instead of the actual book
Last Tuesday at our library meeting room in Sacramento, we had 11 people show up for book club and somehow burned 40 minutes on whether the ending of The Push was a cheap trick or not. Nobody brought up the mom's chapters at all, which was the part I wanted to dig into. Three years ago our club would argue for maybe 10 minutes and then move on, but lately every pick turns into a fight about one scene. Is this just us, or does your club also get stuck on the ending and skip the rest of the book?
