DAE stick their finger in the soil up to the second knuckle? My pothos quit dying after I started doing that
Killed three pothos in a row on my windowsill in Tucson last year, mostly because I kept watering on a Sunday schedule no matter what the dirt actually felt like. A lady at the plant swap on 4th Ave told me to just push my finger down to the second knuckle and only water if it comes up dry, so I tried it on the fourth plant and it's been pushing new leaves since March. Turns out a moisture meter was reading the same number a day after watering and four days after, which is why I trusted it way too long. Anyone else find their finger more reliable than a $15 meter, or am I doing something wrong?
