One comment about my moss propagation setup changed everything
I was keeping my sphagnum moss cuttings in a closed plastic tub with no air holes, thought it was perfect. A guy at the local plant swap said "youre basically boiling them alive, they need gas exchange" and I laughed it off. Switched to a vented lid with a tiny fan running 10 minutes every 2 hours last month, and my moss doubled in growth. Has anyone else had a random stranger's throwaway line completely rework their whole humidity game?

Honestly, I read something similar about how stagnant air can trap heat and moisture so bad it basically cooks the plants. A little airflow makes a huge difference because it lets the moss breathe and keeps the humidity from getting toxic. Glad you found the sweet spot, that vented lid trick sounds like a solid upgrade.
