Rant: dried beans beat canned for me after a $14 mistake

I grabbed a 12 pack of canned pintos on sale for $10 last month, then realized the sodium was wrecking my stews. Switched to a $4 bag of dried beans and soaked them overnight, they taste way better and stretch to triple the meals. Anyone else find the prep time worth the cash?

Gotta ask though, did you actually rinse the canned beans before you dumped them in? Cause that cuts the sodium a ton, might've saved you that $10 mistake... or do you just prefer the texture of dried now?
