PSA: the "free" walking tour in Lisbon hit us with a hidden fee at the end
I did that free walking tour near the Praça do Comércio last Tuesday and it was fine until the last stop. The guide told us the tip was optional, but then two guys in bright vests blocked the exit and asked for 12 euros each before we could leave. I paid to avoid a scene, but my buddy counted and they pulled at least 300 euros out of our group of 25. Anyone else get cornered on a "free" tour in a big European city and find a way to spot the trap before it happens?
