Serious question, does the $5 rotisserie chicken math actually work out or am I fooling myself?
I kept seeing folks online say the Costco chicken near me in Sacramento saves a whole grocery run, and I figured it was just hot air until I did the math on a 3 pound bird last Friday. Turns out I got 4 dinners and a batch of soup out of $4.99, which beat the $18 I would have dropped on the same amount of raw chicken at the store down the road. Am I missing some hidden cost here, or is this thing really the best deal in the whole building?
