My workshop bench went from a junk pile to a real bench in 4 hours and it was all one crate
Two Saturdays ago my bench was a pile of clamps, scrap plywood, and a coffee mug with dried paint in it. I finally built a simple 2x4 rack under it, cost me about $28 in lumber and one box of screws from the hardware store on 5th. The whole thing changed when I moved the heavy stuff down low instead of leaving it on top. Before that I was always shoving things to the side just to cut a board. Now I can actually lay out a full sheet of plywood flat, which never happened before. What's the one little bench upgrade that made the biggest difference for you?
