Vent: The 3D printed bracket that snapped at 2am the night before the client walkthrough
I was at my dining table in Denver last Thursday finishing a 12 hour push on a shelf bracket for a store display, and the layer lines cracked right at the screw hole when I snugged it down. I could have glued it and hoped, but I pulled the model, thickened that corner from 3mm to 6mm, and reprinted it, which ate 4 more hours and cost me sleep. So where's the line for you all: do you design for the load or design for the print, and which one actually keeps you out of trouble?
