Warning: my best design day ever got ruined by a single client change about a logo color

I mean, I spent all Monday nailing this clean, modern logo for a local brewery in Portland, only for the owner to call Tuesday and say his wife wanted it in 'more of a neon lime green,' which, idk, maybe it's just me but that completely wrecked the whole vibe I was going for. Has anyone else had a client ask for a color that just kills the design?

Ugh, my buddy had a client insist on bright pink for a law firm's website header. It made the whole site look like a candy store, not a place to get legal help. He had to just do it and cash the check.

Honestly though, maybe the client is onto something. If every law firm website is navy blue and serious, a pink one actually makes them stand out. Tbh people remember the candy store site way more than another boring legal template. As long as the info is solid, who cares about the color. Sometimes you gotta break the rules to get noticed.

Remembered a bakery client who wanted their whole site in neon green... said it matched their key lime pie. We tried to talk them down to something easier on the eyes but they were set on it. Honestly, it looked like a highlighter exploded, but people did talk about it.
